New owner with a CB550K0 1974 project.
« on: September 22, 2020, 04:42:10 PM »
Hi.

New to the forum and CB550 ownership. I've just bought a cb550 US import project after recently selling my VFR.

The 550 is in rough condition and I'm slowly going through it all. I'm removed the carbs last night in order strip and clean them . On removing the float bowls they are badly damaged with one of the float posts snapped off. So I'm on the lookout for replacement carbs or at very least no3 carb(i will put a wanted post up later)

For the time being i just wanted to say Hi and thanks for adding me to your forum

Cheers.

Its been a long time coming. The CB750 has been my ultimate bike such a long time it took so long I then couldn't afford it, so I went with a 550 project, which might be better suited to my needs and mechanics.

Depends on year/model of bike as to which carbs you have, may or may not have bits depending

Hi.
I have 022A carbs, I only need the 3rd single carb but will buy a full set if possible.
