A little more progress this evening.

Electrics finished and tested.

Had some fun with the UK RH switch. Thanks to ash for pointing me in the direction of the German soec wiring diagram in the Clymer manual.

NOS HM300 pipes ready to fit..

I'm not really an OEM kinda guy but wow! Just wow!! This is stunning  8)

The attention to detail you've given this build is amazing, really making me think about all the bolts and aged fixtures or fittings that I've just sympathetically restored and left due to additional cost....

Really looking forward to seeing the finished product, keep up the good work.

Made some more progress early today before work.

Front caliper fitted and system fully bled. Interestingly the UK low bars need a shorter upper brake line that isn't listed for the UK spec 750. I've found a UK spec CB400f line works well (slightly on the tightish side but acceptable in my opinion).

I had to shorten a pair of Honda throttle cables to accomodate the low bars as well.

This weekends job will be to fit the exhausts, airbox and seat, fit and time the electronic ignition, then all being well I should be ready to fire her up for the first time next week

It's looking fantastic. Post a video of it running if you can James, I'd like to hear it as well as see it. Great build.

It's not until you try and do a restoration/refurb yourself that you really appreciate the amount of time, sweat, blood and hard cash needed to get something looking that good.

But boy is it inspiring to see what can be done :)

Beautiful to see, really appreciate the time it must take to allow see the progress James.

I’m intrigued, given how accurately you restore these bikes, that you’re fitting an electronic ignition. Is this a customer request?

Also, what’s your preference when you let go of them... to be used & ridden, or become Living Room art?

Gawd I’d love one....

Hi Lobbo. Purely a hobby for me and I don't build to order. But they do need to eventually go to make way for the next project.

In terms of ignition - I've tried a few and honestly find the DSS unit (which is made.by Kokusan in Japan who were an OEM supplier to Kawasaki in the 70’s) is rock solid and good value.

I prefer them to be used for sure.

Great work, excellence is expected!

What kind of airfiltercase are you going to mount?
cheers, Uli
