CB400F Parts Wanted
« on: September 29, 2020, 04:38:36 PM »
I want to convert my 1975 CB400F from US spec turn signals to Euro spec. Looking for the front headlight/turn signal bracket, the rear stalks and the signals themselves.  Probably could use and older set of US signals, but need the Euro brackets.

Cheers

The price of new parts is just too much.  Have to keep searching for used Euro spec brackets.

Pity you don’t live Down Under . I just sold  75 400/4  with Spare engine for 500 quid .. mind you it was all in bits but I think most of it was there !

Damn that is cheap... A$900 to A41000......... over here on the East Coast 400/4's are probably double that and more, let alone with a spare engine... I am still slowly gathering bits for mine while I finish other projects... now if I could just find a half decent 400F exhaust (pipes only) I would have most of what I need.

Bugger , you won’t believe it but the bike was in Sydney for over a year . I got fed up with it sitting at my mates place in Blacktown so I put it on Gumtree and sold it to a guy over here in Perth . He paid the shipping so that knocked the price up for him . I have got an Original Four into one  set of pipes but they need a bit of braising. . Just put DSS set on my bike . Not as good as the originals but they look good .

Bugger..... I would have grabbed it if I had known... still I am at least not in trouble with SWAMBO because I bought "another" bike in bits :)
My exhaust was crushed on the outer pipe and had multiple large holes... so it was too far gone to even attempt to restore.
I have contemplated the Pattern pipes but havent made a decision yet... still away off starting the 400.. I have a modified Yamaha SRX250 (really a 350 now) that is almost finished and an SL125 in the mid stage... maybe over Christmas I will get them completed and start on the 400...

The set of pipes I took off where damaged on outer side and the splitter box has a hole or two. . My bike came with a DSS new exhaust system so I was lucky as he is asking over a grand (Pounds) for them . They are a pig to fit but you get there in the end . Good luck with your podject from WA .
