Bleeding brakes

After replacing the hydraulic brake lines, it needed refilling and bleeding.
I've just done the fastest fill and bleed ever.   It took about 5 minutes.
I used a 60ml syringe with a short length of tubing and filled it straight into the bleed nipple.  There was still a bit of air in the system from somewhere but with some squeezing of the brake lever, I persuaded a few remaining bubbles up through the fluid reservoir. I've tywrapped the lever upto the bar to evict the last of it.

On my 400 I always fill the caliper cylinders with fluid before pushing the pistons in. That's it, just a drop to top the reservoir up and ready (after putting the pads in of course )

I’ve heard of that technique before but never tried it .... I’ll have a go next time. My favourite is always to find something to hold the brake lever overnight - job done  ( and thanks to the postie for littering my drive with his wretched elastic bands!)
