Black Hole in Reverse
« on: October 27, 2020, 03:24:12 PM »

1976 CB550f1

Ok so I finally managed to separate the cylinder head from the welded on gasket and got it onto the bench.
After a few twists and turns and summersaults checking the fins, valves and the inch thick grot I noticed these 2 rubber grommets/pucks sitting on the bench. I do have a black hole in my mancave that eats dropped nuts bolts and washers but so far i've never had anything returned from the parallel universe.

Can any of you fine people on here offer any suggestions as to where they came from so i can return them to their rightful home before i put the cylinder head back on.
Thanks

Kenny

Look like the waterproof ends to spark plug caps.

Sometimes they fall off in amongst the fins as the cap is pulled off the plug and get left in the crevices.

Have a look at your HT leads to see if missing,  or they could have been there for years.
