Figure out some electrical issues and repaint clocks, yoke and headlamp bracket in a satin black.

Same as the first, trying to reassemble several boxes of parts into something resembling a motorcycle.

Well I hid from the world over the weekend. Last weeks failed attempt to work out the exhaust made sense finally. Finished  cleaning the last of the carburetors and got them mounted with only a little blood and profanities.  Not easy those beggars are they! Oil tank, O rings seals and filter meant I could fill with oil and slowly start working the engine. Feels nice and free, promising puffs of air from the plug holes. I keep my expectations low but remain stoically optimistic, telling myself it's budget shed build so any victory is a victory!

Thats interesting Al! What frame is it? (not that well up on two stroke or modern)
Hi Phil

Sorry for the late reply

It’s a one off TigCraft super mono race frame built by the legendary Dave Pearce at Tigcraft

Bought it off another RD forum member (who originally had the frame built by Dave to go racing) but then due to ill health had it converted by Dave at Tigcraft to house a LC engine but then to give it up as I believe they got worse,so I bought it on a whim and over the last year have got to to a roller stage with the plan to finish it and get it on the road

The rest of the bike at the moment is a Cagiva Mito front end, Honda NSR swing arm Ktm wheels Brembo stoppers and an Ohlin rear shock

Engine will be a 350YPVS but as the frame only weights in at 7kg (I can in its current build state still lift the complete bike off the ground due to the light weight motor and frame so thinking of just a light tune

Here are some more pics

Also is very compact and no bigger than a 125 but surprisingly comfortable

Still got a stack of stuff to do as everything is a one off like the side stand fix as being a race frame there is no provision to fit a side stand so had to make up a sub frame to mount the stand

And most other things  will be one offs such as exhausts as nothing really is an off the shelf item for a build like this

Still it’s should look awesome if I manage to finish it

Catch up soon

Best wishes Al

That looks fantastic Al! Looks tiny - too radical a riding position for my aging frame - CR750 Rep is bad enough!
I always fancied building a Mito based big single for track days at my local track (the tiny Three Sisters track in Wigan), but to many bikes now
Current Bikes:-
Honda CB750K2 (1975)
Honda CB500K2 (12/1972)
Honda CR750 Replica (1972)
Honda CB350K0 (1969)
Kawasaki ZZR1100D3 (1995)
Kawasaki ZZR250 (1990) Project (Going on eBay ASAP)

Hi Phil

Yes a very different riding position from both my CB400f and my other RD350LC

Certainly not a long distance tourer but surprising sitting it feels very comfortable and not too much weight on my wrists

Also due to its compact size it’s only going to have a small tank at best as still got to squeeze in a rad and pipes somewhere it will be suited to a quick blap out to a local to show it off

Best wishes Al

Some fantastic craftsmanship there. That will be serious fun. ;D
One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....
