How many colours?

This is going to take a bit of work! Nice to see original colour and markings underneath the layers.

Bit of progress, resorted to heat gun to end up. Made a better job and the stripper is shite. But I am pleased with the condition of the tank.

Whatever type of paint Honda used for their black tank panel I would like to get hold of some. The paint stripper never even as much as blistered it.

Hi Johnny,
I have had the same problem with 'environmentally friendly' paint strippers - as have most of the folk on here.  Nitromors, Strypit and the like used be great but brush it on now and it sits there and grins at you!  Might work on this useless 'new improved' household paint but bugger all else.  Mosey on down to MacGregors in Hatston and buy 5 litres of Langlow paint stripper - not cheap but actually works!
On the theme of 'new improved' - this has appeared every year on washing powder since I was a kid (71 last June!) what kind of shite must it have been at the beginning?

Ian

Yes harmless to everything including paint Ian. Didn’t know about Macgregors stripper I will have to get some of that. Thanks. “New improved” always debatable.

I’ve used this from eBay to good effect after nitromors change to

Works well and gives that sting we all know and hate
