Fusebox looks a bit cramped/
« on: November 15, 2020, 02:28:27 PM »
Hi,

just installed a new fuse box but its touching the starter relay, looks a bit tight. Is the relay in the right orientation, looks like it in my manual but it doesn't feel right????

From your photo, it doesn't look like an original, certainly looks bigger. Can you post the W x L dimensions?

I changed my own fuse box recently because it was in danger of burning out, it also turned out to have mismatched fuses in it. What I see in the pic does not look like the original or DSS replacement in my own bike. I think you need a different unit in there myself.

I measured it 70mm tall by 40mm wide. It is a DSS after market one. I checked with the old one i took off and its the same size.

Nurse Julie, it looks like your starter relay is set the opposite way to mine? Maybe this is my error, will take another look tonight

This photo is not of my bike but shows that they are close but not touching - the memory in the cables to the solenoid might just push it to the right too much?
