CB500K2 - Recommended Source of Plug Caps & Plugs

<< < (2/5) > >>

Brian.:
Phil,

The plug caps I bought for my 1974 CB550K1 are VD05F-B-GS for the inner two cylinders and XD05F-B-GS for the outer two. They fit just fine, and look right.  Bearing in mind that my coils are in the standard position.

Those codes are Green Spark Plugs code for black plug caps, the red ones are usually a bit cheaper, if you don't mind the colur that is.

For interest, the plugs I bought are D7EA, they've been fine since I fitted them a couple of years ago.

Again, I hope this helps!

Brian.

d7es is standard 2.5mm copper core.

d7ea is special design.

XD05F-B-GS -  NGK Resistor Spark Plug Cap XD05F black (8072)
VD05F-B-GS -  NGK Resistor Spark Plug Cap VD05F black (8052)

Euro car parts do the spark plugs very cheap, last 4 with one of their codes cost me about £8 for 4

Those cap numbers are wrong for a 500, number 2 & 3 are straight caps  ;)
