Hi does anyone have a recommendation for new pistons ? My engine needs a rebuild and a rebore, I’ve looked at Silvers website but is there anything better available ? Thanks

If you really want to push the boat out, there is a set of plus 50's on Ebay, genuine unused Honda parts, includes rings, gudgeon pins and circlips. But, you might want to take out a mortgage, £300.

Yes, we use their piston / ring kits regularly on CB SOHC/4. I also used them on my 400/4 engine overhaul.

After a long delay I'm ready to have the rebore done, the engineer has asked me to provide the standard bore size (51mm, 2.0079) and the Cruzinimage piston clearance ? I remember reading a post by Julie which said what Cruzinimage piston clearance was but I can't find it now. Thanks

Make sure he understands that is 1 thou total and not per inch and if he insists it will sieze so needs more take it elswhere

Ok thanks ill mention it, he comes highly recommended, he does all the rebores for a mate of mine who repairs and restores vintage bikes for a living  :)
