Nearly new in Doncaster
« on: October 27, 2009, 10:09:40 PM »
Hi folks.
I joined about a year ago but due to work commitments I have not had the time or stamina to pull my finger out and get my UK 72 500/4 in to shape. However I have managed to get it this far.

It is a runner, but rough.....carbs. And the timing , I think looking how the pipes have strawed with the heat. The elongated holes have been extended to be able to set the timing static on 3&4 cyl, I can only think the advance/retard may have siezed. I have a genuine set of pipes to go on , but not until the timing is right. I am realy pleased with the wheels, new rim + spokes but I had the spokes chromed, looks nice.

I would have liked to use it this year but, work etc ,etc, I didn't want to rush it either.

Pattern exhaust will always discolour no mater how the bike runs---original Honda are double skinned to keep the extreme flame heat off the chromed pipe, pattern arnt
