I hope everyone here has a healthy & happy Christmas - many thanks to those here who have helped me source parts and have given helpful advice to my many questions. Special thanks to Nurse Julie and allankelly1 though there are many others here who have come up with so much help. I can't remember who put me onto Evaporust but thanks - you know who you are.

Here's looking forward to the New Year and the beating of Covid 19 - stay safe everyone. :) :) :)

Cheers Ted

Luxury.   I wish I had a garage.  It's not fun fettling in the open air.
Where's that 10mm socket got to?

Luxury.   I wish I had a garage.  It's not fun fettling in the open air.
I remember my days with no garage - filling rot with filler but only on warm dry days - I actually tied a steel block & tackle to a tree branch to remove the engine from my Mini - 1966 happy days!

The tree was the farmers across the road so I was blocking the road off for about 20 minutes but it was a very quiet lane was Tithe Barn Lane Sutton on the Hill now spelt differently to the road signs by Google as Tythe Barn instead.

I dug a pit under our mini to help remove the engine one Febuary, we then lifted it out with two bits of scaffold pole, it is amazing how sudden losses of skin don't hurt when it is cold.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year all, and thank you for the numerous tips. Special thanks to Julie and Graham for parts as well as advice for this year’s fettling which helped occupy during challenging times. Cold weather gloves just opened today even if just for short runs when allowed, determined to try not to mothball over winter!
