Hello- is there any body out there?
« on: January 07, 2021, 05:14:21 PM »
Hope everyone is ok, apart from confined to barracks, or unlike me decorating for SWMBO or has an unheated garage/workshop - which sweats like mad when I put the fan heater on! Must admit too damn cold to faff around in it at the moment. Just seems very quiet on here, sorry I've no queries but I'll see if I can find a few!

I'm still at it in the garage - max an hour at a time though. Carbs in a million bits - tiny parts and freezing digits not ideal. It's cold in the summer uup north so we're used to it!

To cold to do anything.

Had freezing fog all day.

Barely reached a + temperature.

But I did ride the Yam yesterday. It was a balmy 5c.

Still working in the garage for short spells. It's effin freezing up here in not so bonnie Scotland.  Looks pretty in the snow mind. ❄⛄

I had to put everything away and make space for the gas engineer to fit my new boiler. He had to drill a new hole through the wall to fit the condensate pipe to a waste pipe. There was a danger that I might have to move my whole workbench away from the wall to do that, but, luckily he didn't need to do that.

Temporary delay over, back to normal ops. 👍

I had a go in the garage last weekend, but despite my new garage fan heater the Z1 parts I was messing with were freezing cold.

After 20 minutes I gave up, my hands felt just like two balloons.  8)

I am back in the garage after investing in a calor gas heater. Toasty in there now. I have a corrugated iron roof on the garage that used to sweat badly, nothing some 50mm Kingspan glued to the roof couldn't fix. Best £150 I ever spent on the garage.

Yes, because the thread title is the first line, if you swap 'in' for 'out'.  :)

I started a new job on Monday, only 5 miles up the road.  I'm glad I fitted the heated grips, not because I need them but it's more pleasant.  Had to give blood on Wednesday so I had a blat up the M4 for a bit.  Forgot the neck tube so my neck was chuffing freezing.
I'm totally ignoring the 400 in the shed until the salt is over with apart from starting it up now and then.
Where's that 10mm socket got to?

I have one of these in the garage. I have been using it 3 years nearly with no problems. A nice dry heat.
