Generator electrical cabling grommet
« on: January 28, 2021, 06:16:12 PM »
Are there any workaround or suggestions to repairing/replacing the plastic/rubber grommet items as shown below. The one on the left is so damaged and old that pieces are just falling off each time a touch it.

My current thought is to get plastic pieces 3d printed and creating an new cabling run for stator, coil, oil, neutral, etc which would be routed through these printed pieces and then epoxy to seal.

All suggestions and comments welcomed here

They really need to be made of rubber as they compress to seal.

You can use a standard circular grommet,  you don't need a D shaped one.
Where's that 10mm socket got to?

Cheers. Will give that a go. Mine is so old it solidified which made me think it was plastic
