I think so I've always treated 550 bits as interchangable but best if you do so as a unit with things like airboxes. Most difficulties are easy enough to overcome as long as you aren't going for detail perfact for year cb55/4 forks are however shorter.
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock

Yes as pairs, one has gaiters the other little boots but as long as the headlamp brackets stay with whichever they change as well

Sorry bit confused there BryanJ

So they will fit but you need the 550f headlight mounts also? 550k3 will not fit?

The 550F1 has 35mm forks,the same as the 550F2 and the K3.

The headlights/brackets mentioned are such that all of the electrics are inside the shell of the K3, as against the F1/F2 models had the electrics squeezed into a little box just below the left front petrol tank rubber. As such K3 electrics won't fit behind the F1/F2 headlight shell. The K3 also comes with a Stanley H4 headlight unit, which, although not as good a Cibie direct replacement unit, was far superior to the unit fitted to the F1/F2.

The gaiters use one bracket the non gaiters a different reason being the gaiters fit to the bottom of the braket. You can put either gaiters or dust caps onto the alloy sliders
