CB200
« on: April 03, 2021, 03:13:57 PM »
Well, I’d just stripped down a 400/4 and then a CB200 came my way.
The 400 has a slight issue. The side stand mounting had an abundance of non-factory extra weld that I decided to clean up. When I started the clean-up it was apparent that the weld was bad with cracks and holes with no frame tube behind it all.

So the 400 is going on the back burner until I can find someone more skilled than me to put it right.
So now I’m starting on the 200.

The tank and side panels are boxed up and ready to go to Menno for a coating of Muscat Green. That’s if they ever get there with this Br%&() crap.
Thought I’d have a go at rescuing the tank cover as there was a decent one on fleebay. Anyway it has come up ok so don’t need to buy a replacement.

One obvious part I’m missing is the breather tube clip 15772-354-000. Doesn’t seem to be any about apart from NPN who don’t list the UK as somewhere they ship to.

Has anyone got one they are willing to sell? Or one I can borrow to make a copy, I will pay postage both ways. Or is willing to measure one for me in enough detail that I can make one.
Decals seem to be in short supply so has can anyone take pictures of the following with a ruler adjacent to give the dimensions. I will ask Piki if he can make them for me.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks Oddjob.
I have emailed Hondanuts.
The problem I am having with NPN is when it comes to shipping, the UK is not on their drop down list. Strange.

I use stainless steel internal brick ties to make things like this, very close match in wire diameter and quite soft to bend round a former.

Hi Oddjob,
Just had a reply from Hondanuts. They say they haven't got the bits I need. I wasn't surprised really as the list on the website is over three months old.
I'd appreciate it if you ask for a price for the other one you know about. Thanks.

K2-K6, yes I have some stainless brick ties.  :)
