Out of hibernation!
« on: April 25, 2021, 06:34:03 PM »
She’s out from under the cover, battery fitted and been round the town, running good, was a bit worried not draining down the carbs but had to test the additive - Frost Ethomix. Just need a long run now after her 6 month rest.

Looks great Johnny,
Lots of bikes out yesterday - even had a quick visit from Colin M on the Harley - I'll have to put all the plates back on the rack now!  I was out on the little C125 on Saturday - fantastic weather for us.  How's the 750 doing?  Kettle's on if you are out in the wild west - outside of course!

Cheers Ian, I will definitely be out that way in the days or weeks to come. Have not been working on the 750 for a number of weeks got a bit distracted by the old Lister that belonged to my dad. Now that it’s running I’m back on the case! Mainly the crankcase got them painted and baked, next job rebuild bottom end.

Hi Ash,
Thanks for the invite - I hope I will get down to Englandshire sometime soon - but it's a bit of a challenge with ferries, every man and his dog (Spot) booking everything up way in advance.  Having just MOT'd the Wing it would be a great trip to see rellies and friends - assuming I can still get accommodation about halfway - no need to do 500+ miles in one go anymore.  Cousin Neil is only along Boothferry Road - not far from you.
As Johnny will testify - we can still get some good miles in here in Orkney.  If I go from here into Kirkwall and down over the Churchill barriers with a couple of little detours thrown in, I get back with another 100 miles on!

Ian
