I was thinking of getting the reproduction seat from Mr Silver OR having the existing one recovered.

Has anybody tried the repo seat from DS.  I guess having the orig seat recovered is about the same cost?.

Thanks

I would go direct to Bob-the-seat as he makes them for DS but DS hammers him down on price so the direct ones will be better quality...well that's what he told me ages ago. For our CB350K1 & K3 myself and Ben Powell just imported seat covers from the USA as they look really nice... they just arrived so we will report back.

Just another recommendation for Bob the Seat from me.

He recovered the Suzuki GS750E Seat for me and I was really pleased with how it turned out.....I was so happy that I resurrected my knackered old K4 Seat from the corner of the Garage where I dumped it years before, cleaned it and repainted it and sent it off to Bob. I always liked the 'Ducktail' CB750 Seats so I asked Bob if that's what he could rebuild it as and the end product was stunning IMHO.

He's a busy bloke (cos he's good) so be patient - but it's all worth it in the end.

I decided to go this route.  The seat foam is ok.  I purchased a seat cover from Bob-the-seat.  I found that the chrome effect trim is part of the seat cover and cannot be separated from the original seat cover.

There seems to be a number of alternative chrome trims to be used on motorcycle seats. Bob-the-seat does some as well.

Dose anybody recommend a substitute for the original.

I am having the original seat pan sand blasted and re-painted.  All thats needed is a suitable trim.
