Rubber boots for CB400f2 starter solenoid

Does anyone know where I can get a pair of rubber boots for my CB400F2 starter solenoid?

If its the same as the 500, I'm sure there still available from Honda - I think I ordered mine through DS

Checked the DSS site to no avail, also the 400Four guy.  :(

Do you mean covers for the starter cables? The 500 (32411230000) ones are available, but pricey. The 400 shows a one piece cover over the entire top of solenoid.

If you put the part number in - in the search by part number, it will come up. From memory, it was a special order so may be available from any Honda dealer

Hello Julie, yes it is, I have 239, but not 240. I'm beginning to think there is something non-standard on mine as I have a boot on one nut and one missing. Beter get an image..

As you can see...only one of two items in place, but I now doubt it is standard. Another bodge to untangle? I'm getting very anxious to find anything that maybe short circuiting in my system just now ahead of having my new electronic ignition fitted...

That's another one of those aftermarket solenoids that are sideways mounted instead of upright as per the original ones.

I have a deja vu it's come up recently on another post.
