Both are right hand thread but wait for a second opinion! I found loosening the generator bolt is easy with an impact driver.

Thanks all

I can see I will need to spend some time in the machine shop tomorrow making a puller and clutch peg socket

Is it the rear wheel spindle that can be used to remove the alternator rotor on these?

Ohh

If it was that would save me a job as will borrow spindle of the other bike if that is the case and just make a plug to jack against

Dont think the rear wheel is same and you need someting you can beat hard as the rotor is, or should be, on tight

Yes they are usually quite tight but tonight found out bolt was just past finger tight and so was the counter shaft pinion retaining bolt too

Not moaning as its a strip down but hopefully the rotor is just snuggly on its taper

That worked a treat and a nice fit considering I did a guess on the thread depth when thread cutting on the lathe at work

Also made one of these too for the clutch nut
