Nice rear fender you have there - what's with the chain guard - not chromed - is it a fully painted one ?

P.S. I've drilled out my mount and it fits a treat except I have no third collar insert - they seem to be unavailable.
Ted, Graham may have a spare insert, I'll ask him later.

Thanks NJ it would stop it crushing the rubber - I don't have any small tubing I can cut down - not even in plastic. Ted

Ted, could you measure the OD and depth please, would also help if I knew the part number.

I bought a couple of bags of the grommets and spacers from china, cheap but cheerful, does the job and a I cut them down to length, that's what I used on my number plate carrier if you look closely.

Had to paint it was too far gone, re-chroming is far too expensive and that's if you can find anyone who can be bothered to re-chrome it, had to buy a new tank filler cap  for the same reason+ the old one needed a new seal as well, this paint works really well from screw fix

I got these off ebay and cut the spacers down if they were too long.

I got an mint rear mudguard and it came with the plastic part which I didn't need all for £68 from America and that was including import duties, it was the correct one with the 4 holes, I had to do a lot of searching but they come up now and again, totally transforms the rear end.
If you could let me know where you got it from that would be great. I have found one at Bertrums, out of stock for £330. Then one in the USA for $49.66 delivered free to UK. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is, springs to mind:

It was a breaker in America selling on ebay, his user name is,     bwd81

Looking at my Stanley rear lamp unit its not too bad except the black rubbery gasket between lens & lamp body has been squashed up out of position - is there some trick to make the gasket unflatten itself so it can make a seal again where it's misshapen?

Perhaps heating in some strange Vat of Bat Urine  extract or similar?

Be VERY careful ordering from Eric Missey. I just had a dispute with a seller who does exactly the same thing, pics of parts but they clearly ain't their parts, you can see logos from other sources in the pics, some are clearly private sellers as the pics are taken in the back yard etc.

I got my money back from PayPal after they first refused my claim as the seller gave a Fedex consignment number and claimed delivery of parts, it was only when I rang Fedex that they said it was delivered to an industrial address not residential and wasn't even in my name. This seller looks and display the same as that seller and when I went to search for parts my old searches were showing on his website.

You've been warned.

It's just too cheap to be a genuine seller imho.

Never seen a bat wearing a colostomy bag Ted.

Stick it in position first.

Preumably submerged in the Vat first though yes? lol
