Original front pipe question.
« on: November 07, 2021, 03:28:42 PM »
My bike came with the original 4 into1 front pipe - the bike had a newish Motad system fitted. If I decide to fit the original can you till replace the filter without having to remove the front pipes?

Yes. Original downpipes allow filter change. 👍

Good to hear I'm minded to fit the original front pipes they are in reasonably good condition and loook so cool. Seen a rear silencer that looks good value provided the pipe size & mounting points are right  - made in the UK as well.

Perhaps a member here has used them?

That's probably the same silencer as DSS uses on his replicas. The company stocking them are very good to deal with, they normally have a stand at Kempton Autojumble.

bsa111 who are listing that silencer, somehow had a tie up with Brituro, who went skint. I don't know if they took on the jigs and started reproducing them or what. A couple of years back, when you typed in Brituro to Google, the links all ended up at bsa111. That one advertised looks identical to the Brituro fitted to my 400/4 but the original Brituro had a number stamped on the collector box end collar.
