Sounds horrible at idle. Cooling of rear cylinders must be non-existent!

That rattle at idle spoils it somewhat - reminded me of a local chap from Mickleover who siamesed a pair of Hillman 998cc Imp sport engines together in the late 1970's he disguised the two radiators with Kenlow fans as a pair of rear panniers. It was featured in a motorcycle magazine in the early 1980's - the frame was hand built from SS - he worked at what was British Rail so he could cast his own alloy engine & flywheel casings.

It was called something odd like a "Betinson" that was part of his surname just can't remember now what it was exactly - I did the DVLA inspection when he applied for it's first registration - it ended up with a Q plate. It looked very professional back in the day.

revved a little slow too ...but have to agree, I would not be happy with the noises at idle. Something is not quite happy.

He's also had real issues getting an exhaust system to work with very little space. I love it that people attempt to do these crazy things, but I reckon the builder of this one has some more work to do before it's finished

Think it may be included in this link,  thread on pistonheads.

Yes that's the one on page 3! When I saw it last it had no fairing fitted. Pretty sure the bloke who built died some time ago I've searched the Internet before and failed to find it. 👍
