Did mine a couple of weeks ago using a 10:1 ratio of water and oxcalic acid left to soak for 24 hours, then rinsed with water for 10 minutes, dried with hot air gun, followed by swilling with 2 stroke oil and a splash of petrol.  The process removed some fairly heavy rust and no problem with flash rusting.

Your English is extremely good no trace of an accent...

Deciphering British humor however provides occasional challenges though...  ;D

I had to give the heavily corroded CX500E tank out the house, they cleaned the goo out with (industrial grade) hot (120°C) high-pressure wash, then some acids, neutralizers, oven drying (60°C), finally a POR-15 treatment as the surfaces and especially the seams were in really bad shape... fortunately no leaks...

TO DO IS TO KILL THE RUST, LEAVE IT FOR 2 DAYS WITH VINEGAR AND THEN AN OXIDE CONVERTER BASED ON PHOSPHORIC ACID, THEN YOU MUST PAINT IT INSIDE WITH HYDROCARBON RESISTANT RESIN, IF YOU WANT MORE INFORMATION I CAN GIVE YOU LINKS
