Clutch service limits CB500K1

Would forum members please be good enough to checkout to photos I have attached to this thread. I am interested in service limits and plate quantities, I have purchased a new clutch cable as the one fitted took two hands to pull in,however when I inspected it no snagging was evident, does this early model have a paticular issue with the clutch?

The clutch push rod can be a big issue as they snap due to the chain hitting it and worm drive can also break up. Also not being shimmed correctly can cause issues.

The rod appears to be OK in terms of damage however I am not sure of the length (see photo) .

One problem is people insist on lubing the Honda cables and genuine Honda cables have the outer nylon lined and the inner coated with what looks like rubber, oil type lubes swells both bits and makes them incredibly tight to pull

According to manual, spring length new is 31.9 and service limit 30.5. Just checked a couple of springs that came out of spare engine and they are about 30.9. (But no guarantees they are original as it had a strange mixture of plates and I have never run it) Also bear in mind Honda manuals have a few mistakes.
The 500 clutch is certainly heavier than 550s. The design came from the 450 and parts of the original concept hark back to much smaller bikes that Honda made.
Plates new are stated at 3.3mm

The bike is a former US import,I have read were they liked to put stronger springs in clutches in the states so that could account for the extra spring length, are the plate quantities correct metal/fibre?
