watching this with interest....as I still haven;t found an exhaust solution for my project that I like. Finding a good outfit that could make what I want may turn out to be the solution.

He's asked fpr a drawing with dimms so just doing that now for him showing what I'm after and he said he could do what ever I wanted. I'll keep you abreast  (breast,  ;D snigger!) of what turns up as and when and prices etc. Got a good feeling on this one he seems sound!

Just an update,

Spoke to ROY at OS pipes who was more than helpful and a real giggle on the phone. I sent him the enclosed which is the best I can do with my brain thats set up for chalk and slate rather than lap tops etc and he emailed me straight back (well, at 12;45pm) and quopted me an extortionalte £15 as was in steel or £20 in stainless or if I wanted it all polished..£50 with a wekk turn around!! WOW!

Super chuffed with that! I knew I wanted a bloke in a brown workshop coat with glasses and a ruler in his top pocket and thats what I think I've managed to get with this fantastic contact.

If you need anything making and at a decent price, give him a try.

Cheers XS850, a great contact!
As soon as anything comes in I'll bob up a piccy on here.

Once again, thanks all, a  proper result!

I bought a replica stainless steel 4 into 2 for my Kawasaki Z650, have to say absolutely awesome piece of metal work. I would highly recommend him. He has a fabulous collection of Moto Guzzi's as well.

I was surprised he was so cheap with Italian bikes to look after ;D

For the record, I'm an owner so I can say that out loud ;D ;D 8)

Had this sent through from said chap.  Ended up being £50 wanted steel but got stainless sent??   Sounds dear but wire, gas, time etc, ………reasonable price.

Fits a treat however and took a week and much grumbling from him on how he’s never doing another one, it’s not worth his time blah blah. Never the less, top job and off for ceracote tomorrow. If you want a really nice system for your bike in stainless, bespoke made then call him he’s great. If you want a link pipe making, don’t, it’s not worth the diatribe

No, sadly not. I'm having to go matt black as the pipes needed so much repair work to get them anywhere decent I cant re chrome them toget anywhere near a good finish, not on the budget thats left for the build. I'll buy a new set eventually but just not yet, I want to get on with the 550 and costs are going up as we speak............ That and it was decreed by teh Long Haired General that they were going to be black::)

One for folks in the future search for Dairy Pipe fittings or Stainless Handrail fittings the later have a thinner wall section. Or such as
  these,

He was quite adamant that he didn't want to do anything 550 related at all when I mentioned the set I needed and what I had. I had the very same idea but it wasn't received that well, perhaps a bad hair day or summing!?
Maybe he'll change his tune, who knows.  ;D

Did you get a chance to have a look at that bit of film Ken with them there pipes on I sent through on the text earlier?
