Wasn't it £230,000 odd with the premium Ted? I caught a glimpe in the supermarket as I was having a good thumb through Cassic Bike waiting for a pal to get some bait.

I love a Brough dont gey me wrong, for their looks but more so the engineering and finish but thats silly money and I'm sorry but it's probably not worth it, not to me. I'd rather have a garage stuffed with lovelier things than that. And several different marks not just the one.
It's horses for courses I guess and its worth what somebody is prepared too pay. It does, however, push prices through the roof leaving little room for normal, mortal people to have a chance at one.  When I said normal, I meant Honda riders naturally ;) and by no means do I describe myself as normal!

You could buy the current new Brough for less than half that money - somehow they have kept the look.

The real madness is Sellers paying 15% + VAT @ 20% to the Auction House for doing 'not a lot' and then the Buyer has to cough up as well ! Estate Agents often do exactly the same - they introduce a Seller to a Buyer but they take a small % for their trouble.

Reminds me of all these Companies who didn't exist 5 to 10 years ago and don't actually make anything but they can find you something they don't own and they can sell you something they don't own....and make a nice little earner for doing 'not a lot' !

It's US who are mad !

Yes it was televised when the sale took place by Sotherbys at Stafford Show - I watched it will incredulity when a quite similar fully restored Brough fetched a lot less! Then a pile of parts for a Brough fetched almost £90k I think it was.
