If you’re into battery power tools check whether a light is an option. I use this Bosch 18v lamp; it’s light (doh - doesn’t weigh much), has long run time, and is small / adjustable enough to fit into & illuminate the darkest recesses…

Another scource type is still/video lighting in portable sizes that offer very good light output.

The characteristic I like about flat panels is the ability to put the light inside what you're working on easily, cupboard interior, car engine bay etc such that you don't have to get the light "into" a confined space but locate it next to the task while having hands and shadow free illumination.
