CB750 k3 pilot jets

The pilot jets are about 1.1 mm inside diameter and when cleaning them noticed the diameter gets smaller in the middle. I have put a drill down by hand but it feels solid.Does anyone know if the diameter inside the jets gets smaller or should it be 1.1mm right through?

Yes, they get smaller. They have 'spiders' fitted inside them which gives turbulence to the flow of fuel. If you've pushed anything through the jets, the spiders will have been broken and the fuel flow pattern will not be correct.

Thanks for your reply. I thought that might be the case.
