cb750 caliper rebuild kits
haynes66:
any recommendation for rebuild kits? wemoto seem to be reasonable
Laverdaroo:
be careful with after market rubber seal kits. I had no end of faff replacing pattern seals that were bought from Wemoto, they are crap quality and expand with fluid/moisture so that the pots will grab the discs, it actually warped one of my EBC discs on the VFR on the first use.
Replaced with Honda, and 10k miles later, no drama's.
If its brake seals, always go with Honda. Its a piece of mind thing also; it's for your brakes, you cant afford to comprimise on cost for the sake of a fiver if its brake components.
just sayin 8)

There is a firm in recomended, classic honda spares i think, who does stainless pistons with seals. I have fitted many of these and never had a problem but go direct its cheaper than fleabay. Also you MUST clean out the seal groove, especialy the corners perfectly with something like a dental pick, a wire brush in a dremel only polishes the crap and not remove it
haynes66:
thanks for that. so genuine DS ones would be best. i have stainless pistons already so just need seals, boots, grease nipples etc
haynes66:
DS caliper individual seals are £11.80!! and i need 6. i have emailed honda spares to see if they supply them so should hear something in the next few days
