A Long Shot
« on: March 04, 2022, 09:48:52 AM »

Does anyone have a rack for a 750F1 they will part with, not bothered about condition as long as it is usable.

I do have a rickman/hondastyle rack that i had on my 550, it is the one that has a hinged part to allow bikes with the seat hump to open seat. I can take some measurements if you wish as i think they might fit the 750.

while looking for pics i found another rack i forgot about, again fitted to my 550, was a common style that fitted many bikes in the 70s, and the mounting brackets are adjustable.

pic 1 shows how it fits to the shock mount with a screw on adapter and is held on by a large knurled nut that can be undone by hand to release the hinged part for access to the seat. there is another mount that uses the mudguard mounting bolt, it does have 2 alternative positions perhaps for 550/750 frames? drawing shows sizes on my 500, the rack is flexible to alter to different widths within reason.

A big thanks to Mick for sending me the 550 rack. Not a direct fit but it has been persuaded to go on.  ;)
   Cheers Mick.
