Personally Paul I think your asking for miracles with the rims and the front pipes, the pitting seems far too deep for a decent result IMO. Rims might be cheaper getting replaced. Same for headers but I suppose that depends if they are still available.

So do I but if you don’t ask you won’t know. And it’s only one rim and one down pipe which is bad. I do have another rim lined up but they are hens teeth.

Some very smart work there, exciting as you get further through a project and it's coming together gradually the finished outweighs the non.

As far as I know crankcases were never painted originally on the sloper model. Later Honda twins like CB250K and CB450 had painted upper crankcase half but bottom was unpainted. My 1967 Honda press bike sloper was definitely unpainted.

These were Ash and the clutch and filter casings.
I am just going to polish those though.

Coming on Paul. Starting to take shape as well.

Pssh, don't mention polishing stuff to Ash  ;D ;D ;D

Weird how we can all look at something and see something different, the lower crankcase is looking bob on as we'd say but as soon as I saw it I was thinking, I'd have to remove all those little blobs of casting alloy that Honda just left there but that's just me, how Honda for instance could paint one half and leave the other bare is beyond me. Looks miles better painted IMO.

Looking forward to seeing this one come back to life.

How did the chroming turn out BTW? and was the BZP done by the Sheffield people who's name I can't recall right now. Was thinking of using them before I bought the Gateros kit.

It is tempting to remove the flashing on the castings but that is how Honda left it so it stays.
John street platers in Sheffield Ken, great job and quick three days from dropping of to collecting.
I send the wife now as she has a chat with them, I can only just manage to get there and back in my lunch time.

Interesting build not sure I remember the word Sloper so I guess it's quite an old model, I remeber the Benly 125 Super Sport plus the Dream of which I had the two variants.
Looking on Wiki the Sloper was only built for 2 years so parts must be hard to source.
Be great to see the finished item.
