Interesting build not sure I remember the word Sloper so I guess it's quite an old model, I remeber the Benly 125 Super Sport plus the Dream of which I had the two variants.
Looking on Wiki the Sloper was only built for 2 years so parts must be hard to source.
Be great to see the finished item.

a lot of die-hard CD175A and CD125 restorers hate the reference 'sloper' they reckon it's a term applied to an old Brit bike ..was is a Panther or something.

It's generally a means of distinguishing between the early 1967-1969 bikes from the later ones with non-inclined from vertical engine

My Press bike has been a really labour of love .. I bought it in bits from the estate of a guy who found it and partially restored it  and amassed loads of NOS parts for it.
“Alright friends, you have seen the heavy groups, now you will see morning maniac music. Believe me, yeah. It’s a new dawn.” Grace Slick, Woodstock '69 .. In the year of the Sandcast.

Yes the "Sloper" was the big singlel Panther, usualy with a sidecar and they reckon it fired every other lampost,
Rare even when i started in early 70's only seen one at NMM and in pics

Engine rebuild coming along nicely, barrels and head back on and cam timing done before fitting the soft link.
Weather warming up so hopefully get the frame and other bits into primer stage.

The later 175 and the K series 250/350 had a habit of shattering piston rings if driven hard from cold, repaired a lot back in the 70's
Fine if you let them warm before riding

Got a surprise call from the platers on Wednesday saying my parts were ready, wasn't expecting them for a few weeks yet.
Picked them up last night and got to say what a fantastic job Prestige have done yet again.
Just unpacked the big bits to show there work as some of this stuff was in a bad way as you can see prom a previous post.
Thanks again Diane  8) 8).
Must find more time to get on with the project now.

Lovely result on the chroming, really nice job done by Prestige.

Did they give you a breakdown of the cost of each part or just a lump sum.

I'd love to know the cost of having the handlebars done for instance. Mine are slightly better than yours were rust wise so I'd like to see if the cost of chroming them is comparable to my chroming company.

Individual prices but I would need to go and look at the invoice for the price.
