1977 550K3 seat
« on: May 04, 2022, 05:38:59 PM »
Is any one selling a seat for a 1977 550 K3. I’m not too bothered about the condition of the foam or seat cover but the pan needs to be sound (or at least a damn sight better than this one) [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

After stripping off the seat cover and foam this is what the pan looks like. due to a big prang it is a few inches shorter than it should be. [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

The K3 seat is still available new. It's not cheap but at least it's still available.

Check Andy Cepok on ebay.

I checked the Andy Cepok site. He sure has a lot of stuff available for the K3 but I couldn’t find a seat. He has them for the earlier K models up to 1976 but I think the K3 has a different pan as it’s a slightly longer seat.
I’m more than happy to be wrong on this :)

Bloody hell he sold them fast. Last time I was trawling his web page he had around 10 of them, weren't cheap but they were genuine Honda ones, not copies.

Only thing you can do is keep checking ebay for one.

...I'm not going to say that if you made it into a 'bobber'  you wouldn't need a long seat ....
But, if you mad e it into a bobber, you could make-do with a shorter seat!☺

..or a 'bagger', whatever that is..

Already got myself a nice little Bobber but this restoration is to be a tribute to the previous [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] owner who passed away a few months ago. He stacked this bike over 20 years ago and I’m trying to get it back to the way he would have remembered it.
