Pages  7 and 8 missing from CB 500 550 shop manual.

This was picked up in 2013 and a link was supplied to download it. That link is no longer available.

Could someone s an the manual again to allow me to download these 2 pages.

No reason to worry however: p.7 is blanc and p.8 has a serious error. When you want to know more about the error, wait for my next post. Below my p.8, but - I warn you - the info there is wrong.

Deltarider ..instead of moaning on and criticising people for copying data from the internet why don't you be a bit more proactive  and contribute more of your own pdf manuals into  the dropbox links on here, which are totally free of charge and available even without registration. Theres a hell of a lot of data on here that could be added to in addition to Ash's stuff . My advice to you is bring something to the party ! I know for a fact that it costs Ash a fair bit in Dropbox fees to maintain his contributions on here as he told me so when  I bought some 750K7 parts from him recently.

Your criticism is unjustified. After becoming frustrated in the past when none of the sites I had contacted  showed interest in correcting errors, I've turned to Tums at Honda4Fun.com who was willing to correct errors. Their site is a beaty and... very well maintained. Also here my experience was negative. I've pointed at an error, be it a minor, in Ash's Dropbox. Until this day it remained uncorrected, so forgive me, if I continue my cooperation with our Italian brothers. I've took my responsibility however and I've directed many to Honda4Fun over the past decades. So often, that a member here got soure at me and asked why I did that and even asked if I possibly had a commercial interest. No, I have none whatsover. My only interest is to preserve and maintain as much info as possible for all of us. I wish you have a nice day.

Deltarider your negativity regarding this excellent ...in my view ... UK forum is probably one of the reasons Ash decided not contribute on here recently and focus on his bike restos. I now contact him via Facebook, where he is still active on the dedicated closed groups. Enough said and over and out!

The 500/550 info in Ash's dropbox came from me and i went into my local Honda dealer and borrowed their Honda supplied "blue book" workshop manual which i spent a lot of time scaning and saving.

Now i have no idea how to use acrobat, nor the spare cash to pay for it, the manual was made "searchable" by a different person who wanted a dvd copy from me, made it so and sent it back.
I not only do not have the software to edit the manual i definately do not have the knowledge.

All the manuals/partsbooks i supplied to both this forum and Glen on the US forum are direct copies of genuine Honda paperwork WITH ALL THE ORIGINAL HONDA ERRORS so if you know of specific errors, why not start a seperate topic for errors so we all know about them e.g. the 500 parts book says you need 2 of one selector total 4 DONT THINK SO

A good suggestion. Why Toko is so negative about me, I don't know. Most of my posts in the International, French, German and the UK forum have been about directing people to where they can find the info they need. Also on multiple occasions I have pointed at errors in the Shop Manual CB500-550 and even in this thread I have added the page hillwilly asked for. What Toko_Jo's problem is, I don't know. Maybe we are to find out. What we do know, is that he knows how to type, seen his already 3 (!) contributions here since 2014.
Bryanj, could you be more specific like what parts list exactly or are they missing in everyone of them? Is it possible that the missing parts are depicted on another page than you'd expect? 
There can be errors in the Shop Manual and Parts Lists. We can bring them together. I cannot change errors in presenting Parts Lists and Manuals with the wrong names. I need the cooperation of the OP. If that person is not willing to have a look at it, what can I do but stop wasting my time there?

Also, with the help of Nurse Julie, we have solved that mysterious socalled BREATHER TUBE on p.170 of the Shop Manual Honda CB500-550.

Delta, if you look at the gear selector page in the parts book you will find 3 part numbers and in quantities it says you need 2 of one of them which you dont.

All manufactureres make errors in paperwork and with the japanese this is made worse by translation also the genuine Honda manuals ASSUME that the reader is a fully trained mechanic or technician as they now prefer to be called

Sorry Bryan, I am lost.
1. None of my CB500 Parts Lists has a 'gear selector' page.
2. You didn't specify what parts list and the page number.
3. Also partnumbers would help.
I remember you posted about this before. Also then I had to give up as you weren't specific.
Now I still don't know if the error exists in all parts lists.

Delta i dont have the time or patience to answer your questions, in the paper parts book i copied is the fault, no idea what page but there is a page with gear drum and selectors.
This is getting more like the us forum where posters expect somebody else to do all the reasurch and post the answers for them, sorry too old, knackered and pissed off to do that any more
