It's here Delta, took me less than a minute to find it so why you couldn't is beyond me.

As Bryan states, the right hand gear selector shows 2 required when it should read 1. Clearly Honda spotted the mistake before my parts book was released (1973 I believe) as they've corrected the error by then.

Thanks Oddjob, that's all I needed to know. I am not familiar with gearbox parts and I can assure you, not many overhere take them apart. So you can't expect me or anyone else to guess what parts are ment. After all Honda gave them numbers and I didn't have them. In the past Bryan has posted this quite a few times, always without being specific. No wonder no one ever reacted. This time I wanted to see it for myself. What made my search even more difficult, was that Bryan mentions a page that goes by another name by Honda. I myself have made it a habit to be as precise as possible. I tell where it is and on what page. Should I apologise for trying to find out what Bryan was talking about? Me, a noob as far as gearboxes? Anyway, good to know his generic remark concerns only one particular parts list and not all. Glad that's been sorted out and that now the info is available for anyone. Thank you very much!

I can edit pdfs but got bored reading through all these posts…

I’m happy to edit the docs if someone gives me the exact name, page and correction.

If we had a separate thread I could even mark them off as done.

E18 page of Bryans copy of the CB500 parts book Steve. Part 2 should read 1 required not 2 as Honda have listed it.
