Where can I find these headlight brackets?
« on: August 05, 2022, 12:53:31 PM »
These are nice. Not original I assume though. Does anyone know where they are from?

Also, is the front signal lights the same as the back ones? Mine does not look so similar at all!

That’s a really nice bike there Alex, particularly like the black and cream/white paint job and the gold rims. Very tasteful conversion IMO.

Has that had a turbo fitted?

I don't think that's Alex bike as he still hasn't sorted the indicators out yet to my knowledge. Plus it's a K3 and Alex has an F2.

Thanks! These look like they could do the job. I just saw a lot of brackets with holes in them and other silly looks, and those on the bike in the picture came a little nearer to a stock look without being it.

I’ve also considered a Bates style headlight, but not sure how to fit it, and would rather not drill into the yoke or anything like that. Does anyone know what kind of assembly those headlight take?

Uh no, not my bike. This is one from the US forum I think, just liked the brackets because they had an OEM look, and wanted to see if I could source them.

Here is a picture of my bike. Looks normal enough. On closer inspection though, the chrome is pretty beat up, there is holes in the fender etc. But I wanted it to run good before I make it look good. So went through the engine first. Now I am starting to try and do the cosmetic work. I decided not to do a restoration, but more like a resto mod, as it is hard sourcing all the original parts. But I like the OEM look, so trying not to stray too far from that. Need fenders, signal lights and front and back lights, and a new paint job, and then we are looking pretty good I think. So working on it over the winter (like everybody else I assume).  Right now I just wanna ride it a bit and see how the engine runs after I went through it 😊

Nice, thanks Julie! I might just end up doing that. Those brackets look exactly like I want them.

Are you just using stock signals? The chrome on mine are rusted and pitted, so looking for a nice replacement.

Also - no rear fender? Only riding in dry weather, or have you worked out a less visible solution?

You're missing the speedo cable bung. Goes in the hole in the front mudguard and the speedo cable passes through it. OE one is a sort of dirty white/grey colour.

Ah! Are these usable without any other parts in both front and back?

On the front only. The back stems are totally different  ;)
