Has anyone used these coils?

Starting a new thread, has anyone bought these aftermarket coils?

https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/CB550K-1976-USA/part_83533/

Ash said I should ask everyone as the primary coil resistance should around 4 to 5 Ohms, I asked DS this afternoon and they said they do not have this technical information!

Oddjob:
Then don't buy them. If they can't supply that information you can have a reasonable assumption it's wrong or they'd be willing to tell you.

McCabe-Thiele (Ted):
I fitted these (Hedler) as they are probably a temporary measure until I restore my originals.
They are Primary  5.11 Ohms - S 17.55 Ohms  made by Hedler the spec is on Hedlers website p/n 540612H
I did mot use the screws shown in the picture mounted them in the original saddle at each end.
I switched the wiring so the poitive marked terminal was on the ignition feed side.
At £29.95 each did not break the bank.(inc post)
Just made a chain link type bracket for the bottom mount as they are 90mm not 100mm centres. Might need more work if you wanted to fit them facing backwards.

I think DS would tell you the brand if you asked them.

McCabe-Thiele (Ted):
If you zoom in the DS photo they look like Tec FL 703 12v as does the part description.

That is the same  Tec part number on my original looking coils.

deltarider:
In short: primary resistance should be advertised. Always. Original coils are 4,3 - 4,7Ω. Products from China are to be avoided, unless a well known western or Japanese brand has chosen their products to be manufactured there. In that case those products will carry the name of the brand. No brand means no one will accept responsibility. Your choice.
What we're witnessing now, is another wave in posts about coils. It seems contagious.
