Just checked the size of my fuel pipe whilst waiting for jets to arrive & the outside diameter is 10mm and internal is about 8 , just read on another thread it should be 5.5 , would this cause overfuelling and sooty plugs . Regards Dave

No, floats control the amount of fuel in the carbs, it would however mean sloppy joints which can allow fuel to escape. Not a good idea Dave, buy some new Nitrile piping whilst it's apart.
