I did ask the question as I wouldnt know how to spot a sandcast and asked how to identify one but nobody came back to let me know the differences, probably couldnt be bothered. Still quite like that though.....

Still quite like that though.....When I have seen Sandcast engines the fins always seem to look flatter & smoother somehow - that was my opinion after seeing one at the Stafford Show.
Maybe the one at the show had been over polished then - it seemed to have fewer casting web marks as well.

Makes one wonder if the V5 shows it has been a cat C or similar or previous owner damaged the frame so used an earlier frame. Could even be a ringer.He does call it a Bitsa?
