CR750 Replica engine parts
« on: June 22, 2010, 11:09:32 PM »
Just looking into building a CR750 replica engine and would welcome advice on any friendly and switched-on UK/European dealers (and recommended manufacturers) for pistons / rods / CR carbs / close ratio clusters, etc., etc.

It will be a pukka job for a serious race bike project.

All advice welcome.

Yes he did and it's looking like all systems are GO. ;)
Next year should see a very fast Honda outfit with one of the worlds top modern day drivers doing battle in the classic classes. 8) 8) 8) Keep you eyes open. ;)

Be interested to see some pictures. There is an ABE big bore kit with rods on Ebay at the moment that may be useful (if allowed in the rules).
I guess an outfit refers to Sidecar, if so what chassis are you using? In the dim and distant past I had an 840 BSA in a Crick chassis (similar to windle).
Does the engine have to have period tuning?

Good luck

Seamus

Hi Seamus, as Nick has not released any info yet, i'll leave it to him to tell all.
As much as I can tell you, the capacity is open, the motor is being tuned in the States and built over here using American parts. It's going to be a real flyer. 8) 8) 8)

Sam. ;)

All will be revealed in good time!

No secrets, but I want to make sure everything is in place and ready to go beforehand.

Maybe towards the end of April 2011 we will have something to show?
