Ah did not realise you had new seats but used the old needles - I've read on this site about lapping them to suit - sounds promising.
Six cycles of removal wow I had enough with just 2 or 3 but I had the 400 airbox to struggle with.
Yup, sorry I didn't say about replacing the seats. The cheap rebuild kit was a false economy and accounted for some of the removals, my own lack of inexperience made up the numbers.
If I had an air box to fight with I'd be a lot closer to desperation but as it is I'm staying zen and thinking hard about what I'm doing and what the carb is doing.
I saw some posts about Redex being a quick fix, not sure how that works but have been anointing/cleaning components with it just in case, along with polishing the brass pivot pins.
