Johnny,
Is that 3 cups you're wanting, or one cup with 3 sugars?  8)

Ken, if 'Mike the pipe' was still alive, he would have knocked a system up in stainless in an afternoon - even in artificial light!  Where have all the wizards gone?

Secondly, probably more difficult than trying to get an audience with the Pope - yes, an original (even one that's repairable) silencer!
Ian
Good that you have it and I'm sure you'll be pleased. It's great to get something that is relatively unmolested and not pay the earth.
Mine was from DK and I stopped in there when returning from a holiday and was the only bidder when they reduced the start. The downpipes were a little rusty at the top and one has a small dent but they looked ok when cleaned up. Original silencer was pretty shot at both ends.
This was 2017 and one came up on ebay and there were only two bids and I paid £1.20. It was 50 miles each way to collect as he wouldn't post.
A small patch required underneath at the front end.

That's a stunner Phil,
Hope mine looks as good as yours!  A great result on the silencer too.  I don't mind waiting and using the one it came with for the foreseeable.  It's a pity no one seems to do a replica.  I want to enjoy riding it so would be reluctant to use that NOS system on eBay!  OK for museum perhaps?  I've been doing a bit of tidying and general assessment today - still over the moon!

That's real shame - if the end cap had been sound perhaps a good tin basher could have made a new centre section?  Is it an optical illusion or does that centre section have a very slight taper, rather than parallel?

Yes, you win the prize Julie. I was hoping you would be along. Known as Bilateral hallux valgus to us commoners. But yes, Chevron….as you state.

Yes, I know what you mean. Now here’s a thing. Mine was diagnosed using ultrasound. It continued to bother me so I went to see the surgeon. One MRI later and we found out I had a planter plate tear. Needed a very interesting procedure to sort it out. Been done nearly two years without a problem.

Now that fecker really stung post op😭

Back to your rebuild post Ted. Did the wifey protest at your novel use of the oven?
