They could be getting thin on the ground and harder to obtain as the authorities have recently impounded nearly a thousand at the docks on safety
grounds. The safety concerns are not with the heaters and equipment that comes with them but with the non existent Chinglish installation
instructions. Apparently some have been installing them too close to flammable  materials.

Heard a new solution to condensation in a cold garage today don't use a dehumidifier or heater just fit a shower type extractor fan to keep the air moving?
This is said to avoid condensation forming.

Plus you dont get hungry from the smell of burgers, i ran my pickup on biodiesel for a long time till the price of waste oil made it uneconomical, free to take used oil dont exist any more

Real reason Bryan was it was during the period when it was illegal to burn cooking oil in a vehicle and you got arrested by the frying squad  ;D

Have you actually read that?

They claim that the heat isn’t actually transmitted through the air but via light waves.

Golly.

Diesel - infrared - I'm mystified by the combination - sounds like a flamethrower 😁😁😁

These are used in spray shops - they heat an object not the surrounding air so a wing is heated but no dust is stirred up.

Might be stating the obvious but two things about any combustion heater in a workshop.
You need very good ventilation due to carbon monoxide generation.
It will also produce water vapour which might not be a great idea.
Always worth buying a cheap CO alarm just to be safe.

The Chinese diesel heaters have separate external air intakes and exhuast pipe so unless the heat exchanger is faulty no combustion products are released inside the caravan or garage. A CO detector would be sensible safety option.
Having tried my 1800w electric convector tower  heater I was surprised it managed to make the place today warm overnight. It has a thermostat built in - just need to check the cost is my too daft.

Yeah I was referring to the previous heater type that was being discussed that vents into the room. Should have been clearer.
The truck cab/boat type heaters with external venting are very good, mate had one on a boat and it was toasty even in winter.

I wasn't able to fit any sort of heating into my kitchen when it was renovated a few years ago. I could but the loss in cupboards wasn't worth it. I decided to fit a plinth heater but then I spotted an infra red heater that mounts on the ceiling, controlled by a plug in thermostat that controls the heat output etc. The idea behind is that it actually warms up the work surfaces and cupboards and these act like small radiators, when it's on you can feel the heat on your head and body. Got to say I'm impressed with it, kitchen is now never cold and it doesn't cost that much to run. Plus it's white to nobody notices a flat panel mounted above them until they feel the heat when it's on. Cost me one of my downlights but I have 8 more fitted so it wasn't a huge loss.
