I have two Kawasaki's! An old ZX6r and an older ZR550. They are fab ... and the 600 is very green - it also has a pair of boxes named 'resonators'  just behind the air intakes. As far as I can tell, their only purpose is to make an amazing induction noise as the air comes in - at low revs it sounds a lot like a bag of gravel being rattled around in a bucket, then once I speed it it just starts to scream. Awesome bike!

The zx6r g1 was my first >250cc non-learner bike. I loved it.
Had it in black/gold/purple though. It's on my list of bikes that I would like to have again, along with the Yamaha fzr250 3ln. Now that's a bike that screams!

That is a lovely bike - couldn't afford it though which is why I ended up with the fizzer which had an almost equally absurd 18ki-ish rpm redline.

I have had a couple of Z650's and have got another which I just need to register with the DVLA (American Import). They really are a great bike, I would have no hesitation in recommending one. Tin hat on for the abuse in it not being a Honda. :) :)

Same here I love my C2 and a dam site easier to lug around the garage than the K1 (got my tin hat on as well)

Got my eye on a couple of potential project bikes on eBay.

One of the cb500 has a saddle type seat (not sure what it's actually called) but not to my taste. I assume there's no issue sticking a standard seat without mods?

They're called 'king and queen seats' but when you read that just say 'shite' out loud. You should be able to bob a standard seat on that no problems providing the catch etc hasn't been knackered fitting that eye sore?

The King and Queen seats (read Shite) were just bolt on add ons back in the day, they didn't require any mods to the existing systems as far as I know.
Kids in a the back seat cause accidents.

And they are too!

Bit like the obsession of stupid handlebars to make the bikes handle badly.

Had one on the 750 when it came from the states. Horrible carbuncle of a thing. I’m sure it was leather. Probably an expensive item in its day. I was that convinced there would not be anybody wanting to buy it in this country I fired it in the skip at our local recycling centre. 😆😆
