Had one on the 750 when it came from the states. Horrible carbuncle of a thing. I’m sure it was leather. Probably an expensive item in its day. I was that convinced there would not be anybody wanting to buy it in this country I fired it in the skip at our local recycling centre. 😆😆

They're called 'king and queen seats' but when you read that just say 'shite' out loud. You should be able to bob a standard seat on that no problems providing the catch etc hasn't been knackered fitting that eye sore?

Cheers all. My finger is creeping closer to the Buy button. Im being superficial but in my opinion, the 500s are nicer to look at.

450 is always classic but i think parts are getting more difficult and expensive. 500/550 still has some difficult parts but there are still most out there though a lot in US(same as 450)
PM Ash about 450 i think he has more idea

I've spoken to the seller, it is not all as it appears.
It's cheap bike but that's for a reason.
Edit..... Obviously give the chap a call and talk to him. The owner didn't even know his son has listed it for sale 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Yeah cheers Julie.

I'm looking for a fixer upper and this one seemed a bit too finished but did question the price Vs "fully restored"

I've contacted the seller to get a fuller picture.

A nice looking bike in the photo,  that is far too cheap so there must be a catch or a con  somewhere - no one gives stuff away these days.
Somehow it looks too good to be true ?
Honda CB500 K1 (new pit dug out ready)
Honda CB400 four super sport (first money pit)

why is it listed in the bar grip section  not motorcycles for sale ? I would be very careful with this.
500/4 in 79. No bikes for 30 years. 750/4 in 2013, 550/4 in 2023. Also own  R1100GS, RD350LC YPVS , Triumph Street Triple, Yamaha XT250

May be that if you put a telephone number in the text body, eBay removes it (I think) - its a way round that maybe
Still something not right about the listing though
Current Bikes:-

Honda CB500K2 (12/1972)
Honda CR750 Replica (1972)

Yeah my thought as well as priced very low.

Account has 100% feedback from 700ish transactions, but something doesn't feel right.

Seller responded and said no issues on bike and runs. Even offered a viewing to check the bike.

E Bay are simply paranoid about Sellers showing contact details in their adverts......they think that it will potentially cut E Bay out of future sales ! That's why Private Sellers show their phone number in a photo. Strangely, Dealers clearly show their contact details - showing that E Bay obviously suffers from 'Elbow and arse disease !

Continual 'breaking' of their rules can lead to Sellers being barred from E Bay in the future, but if you are an infrequent Seller this probably won't bother you.

I have just bought some Furniture on E Bay and the amount of 'faffing about' was a real pain as I'm using a Courier to collect......all Couriers want/ need an E Mail address - so they can send advance warning about the collection AND the delivery dates, and they need a Mobile number so they can send advance warnings about the time slot they propose for collection and delivery. Having to send numerous messages on E Bay to the Seller to ascertain this info and 'skirting round the E Bay rules' is just a PITA and probably one of the biggest self inflicted examples of an organisation pis*ing off it's Customers !

I have 'reluctantly' just posted a couple of bike parts for sale on E Bay........just waiting now to get a raft of 'stoopid' questions from the people who can't read, can't work simple things out for themselves, and can't be ar*ed to read the advert properly. Thankfully, most decent E Bayers don't fall into these categories - and they make up for those who do.
Now: 2008 CB1300S, CB750K4, 1970 Bonneville. Various other 1960's 650 Triumph T120's/ TR6's/ TR6C's (all in bits...many, many bits unfortunately). Previous: 2007 CB600FA, 1976 CB500 Four. BMW F800ST. GS750E. ZZR1100. CB1300 (2). ZXR1200S. VFR800. CB750 Nighthawk. CX500. XS500 Yam. Suzuki GT500. BSA A10. Various Lambrettas. Zundapp Bella (honest).

0I generally message the buyer/seller and 7explain that on the start of every line in the 8message there will be a number. All the 4numbers put together in a line will equate 3to my phone number, eBay don’t seem to

5 have cottoned on to that snide yet.

Written as above.

The eBay computer can’t fathom it and means you can get your number over with minimum fuss and no telling off
