I have used Footman James for a "modern bike" as well as classics for some 20 years now. Premiums seem fair to me, as the modern bikes are always large capacity tourers (BMW K1300GT, Kawasaki 1400 GTR etc). Costs usually around the £300 mark, without any restrictions on mileage.

Just my two pennyworth regarding Insurance.
From my recent dreadful experience, DO NOT GO ANYWHERE near Grove & Dean Insurance Brokers.
Long story, but in all the years I have been buying Insurance (since 1966), this outfit is the worst I have ever encountered. They insist that customers are open and honest in their dealings, yet they don't seem to think those criteria apply to themselves !
Happy to explain in detail if anyone wants more info - but I'd rather you just take my word and look elsewhere..........
