;D ;D ;D

Didn't know you were married to Carine Roitfeld   :)

Never told me she changed her name. You never know what they get up to.
One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

I have nothing to say! except you wouldn't get me on it!!
Maybe this one is laid back enough to risk? Its called the Red Baron, it has aWW1 aircraft engine of the kind sometimes fitted to the Sopwith Camel. Read all about it! https://www.cnet.com/culture/motorcycle-with-airplane-engine-makes-a-roaring-racket/

Watching this video of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hirsRnytTkU&t=8s&ab_channel=MOTORRAD it is even more lunatic than I thought. How can that be any fun to ride?
Yes, I understand people want to engineer these things but.... Plus the turning circle and no lower cylinder protection....Each an to their own!

That's a modern Rotec radial engine, not an original WW1 Rotary engine. They were Clerget or Bentley engines originally. Rotary engines rotate around the crank when running which creates a lot of torque reaction. That made aircraft fitted with them very tricky to fly, they would turn very quickly one way (helped by the torque) but were a bastard to turn the other way. There's no way I  would try and ride a bike with that lot spinning in front of my crown jewels!
A challenge for Mr Millyard I think? 😂

The reason the whole engine spun was to assist cooling in relatively low -powered engines where weight was an issue and water cooling added more weight than was wanted.  Sticking all the cylinders at the very front, rather than inline, means they all get the same airflow, spinning them adds to that even further.

NB - the Red Barons original engine is in Duxford Air Museum, alongside a full- sized replica of his red triplane , which is tiny.
