Most probably the correct engine for a UK model K2. Depends entirely when it was actually manufactured. But 23**** or 24**** would be correct. Don't compare UK model engine / VIN numbers with USA data as the numbers are totally different. What date of manufacture and registration does it say on V5?

On the log book 1975
Is that the date of manufacture or the date of registration, does it show a month?

Yes, your engine number is spot on then for a 1974 manufacture UK K2. Even though it says Manufactured 1975 on the V5, it was manufactured 1974, as it had to come all the way from Japan on a slow boat and it definitely took more than 4 weeks😁😁😁.
Earlier, I said it could have been a 24**** number as well, but 24**** are UK K6's 😊😊😊
