I'm not sure if this will be suitable for your timescale and don't know if they are still going but:- there was a company called "PRECORIL Seals" in Frimley that I've bought o-rings from to my spec years ago and they just seemed to specialise in this stuff. I lived near there and just went in with examples that they matched so they don't specifically do bikes but in depth application of seals.

Will be going past there this week so will look them up if I can't find on www.

Thanks K2-K6
googled them but no luck. I'm East London..must be some small shed with all the O Seals ever made, somewhere Stratford CanningTown way..I'm going to drop by a motor factors I know who've always been helpful and see if they have any idea.

Was working on an XR 500 Honda years ago and couldn't identify sizing on a bolt in the head, turned out to be 9mm........yes nine!! only one I've ever seen.

You may be lucky to get a straight match off the shelf, if so I'd buy a spare set as well.

Hi,
If my memory serves me correct (and it probably does not!) Dave Silver does a complete float needle valve for about

Hello All

Thought I'd update.
Just polished up float valve seats and needles of 1 and 2 carb...leakage reduced to a couple of drips from number one..good stuff....
Then just taken out no. 3 float valve and Marineboy was right, no 3's o-seal is in bad shape (and I'm guessing the minor drip on no 1 carb is due to o-seal).
So it's a combo of the two.  One I can sort out with polising, the other I can sort out with new
o-seals.

Don't want to come across like a Scourge but anyone got any thoughts on sourcing o-seals as opposed to the whole float valve kit x4.

I use a few odd sized O rings at work. The first 2 places I look are

http://www.altecweb.com
http://www.polymax.co.uk

And you can buy just a handful at a time.
